Need a gift for your boy toddler, but stuck on what to get him. Or maybe you’re headed to a birthday party and are clueless as to what a 3-5 year boy would appreciate. Not to worry! This gift guide will give you a good idea on what toddler boys would likely enjoy. A lot of these ideas come from the gifts that I’ve given my 4 year old son over the years, and I hope yours enjoys them just as much as mine does.
P.S. a lot of these ideas are not gender specific and will work for girls gifts as well!

Floor Puzzles
My 4 yr old has so much fun putting puzzles like these together. He is at the age where he can do these by himself and he’s always so proud to show me the end result. These are also fun to work on together and teaches critical thinking and problem solving all while having fun.
Play-Doh
Who doesn’t love Play-Doh?! These days there are soo many options to choose from, so it’s easy to get creative and have fun for hours on end. Make a pizza, play dentist, or even have an ice cream party! Oh to be a kid again…
Night light
We definitely didn’t have night lights like this growing up. This night light comes with a remote control that has a timer and a dimmer. Choose from 7 different colors (red, green, blue, yellow cyan, purple, and white) or have them all cycle on automatic. Dare I say, bedtime just got a little more fun!
Leap frog tablet
My son LOVES his LeapPad. He has had one since 2 years of age and it has grown with him since. This one has over 1000 educational games, e-books, and videos.
Ryan’s world toys
If your child watches Ryan’s Toy Review like mine does, they will definitely appreciate receiving a toy from his line. Check out this page to choose from a wide variety of toys your child is sure to love.
Character blanket
I think these are just the cutest. This blanket doubles as a pillow and is perfect for nap time or traveling. If your kids are into Paw Patrol this will definitely be a hit!
Trampoline
Let your kids jump out alllll of their energy with this mini trampoline. It has a handle for safety and is small enough to be used indoors. Heck, even YOU can give this a go! Adults up to 180 pounds can use this trampoline. Don’t let your little one have all the fun!
Step on keyboard
My son has had a keyboard similar to this one for a few years now. He went from stepping randomly on every key to now being a pro at playing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”. You can choose from 8 different instrument sounds and even record a song of your own. I’m sure your child will love this step on keyboard just as much as mine does.
Walkie talkies
Growing up, this was by far my favorite toy to play with. I loved me some walkie talkies! So naturally, these made it to my list of gifts for toddlers. If your kids are into Pokemon like I was back in the day, they will LOVE these!
Finger paint
This kit is perfect for kids learning their basic colors. Let them create more colors by mixing the four colors that it comes with; red, blue, green, and yellow. You’ll be relieved to know that these colors are washable so your child can let loose and explore their creative side.
Race car tracks
This glow in the dark flexible track comes with 2 cars that light up making it especially fun to play with in the dark. The tracks come apart and are easy to put back together making it easy to create a unique course for your cars to navigate.
Activity Book Play Set
There are a lot of “pawsome” things that come in this set. You’ll get a coloring and activity Book, a 24-piece puzzle, 24 Crayola crayons, 6 Paw Stampers and 6 Paw Print Rubber Bracelets.
Character hat
Keep your kiddo warm while sporting some of their favorite characters from Paw Patrol.
Hopper ball
This ball has been apart of many play time activities with me and my son. I bought this ball earlier this year and I can tell ya from experience, it’s a lot of fun! I love the fact that this ball lights up when you bounce on it. It comes with all you need to get bouncing!
Ride on Car
Man! I WISH I had one of these cars growing up. I plan on buying this one for my son for Christmas this year and I’m sure he will get a kick out of this! Put your child in the driver seat for a change. No more pretending with this one. Works on grass and hard surfaces and goes up to 5 mph! (most only go up to 2.5mph)
