We’ve recently updated my son’s calendar to this super detailed one of Melissa and Doug and I wanted to share with you all the great things about it!
Previously we were using a dry erase calendar, but it was always so hard to erase! No matter what we used we were always left with smudges and the marker residue would smear all over making difficult to see.
With this calendar we don’t have to worry about any of that since everything is magnetic. All you have to do is find a space to hang it. After that it’s as simple as moving the magnets to their appropriate areas of the calendar.
What I love about this calendar is that it goes into lots of detail. Besides the basic fields such as day and date, there are also fields about the weather, holidays (major and minor), temperature, seasons, and even mood! Your child will easily be able to show you how they are feeling that day by choosing a magnet or even drawing in their own.
They will get practice learning the order of the days of the week since there is a space to pick the current day as well as the previous day and the next day.
You’ll get plenty of use out of this calendar since you can use the blank magnetic tile to hand write any year that goes past 2023.
This calendar is mess free and full of fun while most importantly, being educational!
